I’ve said it many times before and I’ll say it again – THIS is the kind of thing 3-D is perfect for. 3-D is a GIMMICK, and when employed as such, can be fun. I’d MUCH rather see movies like Jackass, Pirahna, and Step Up in 3-D than see “real” hollywood films in 3-D. In those cases it actually distracts and takes away from the movies’ content.

Hey there! Probably did anyone recognise the moviemaker Joseph Fusco? He created one video named Chloe A-Z, but i are thinking he is actually not relatively well-known. We have find out Mr. Joseph Fusco lives within NY. We want to get the information which other films Mr. J Fusco have made, will certainly someone from this blog offer me a little good infos around J. Fusco?

Back in '84 when the HDTV Grand Alliance was barely a start-up, (and wasn't even digital yet, but we got that far), I was p-mailing for stereo'eyes'ed 3-D (that's what I called it), and suggesting 'sexichrome' 2x3=6-color (that's what I called it)-- because that seemed simple, that and polarized (similarly 2 polarities x 3-color).... That's more than a quarter century ago! But I also topped it with RASTER-CONTOUR-SCAN ... like a 2000x1000 fresnel lense.... I think we need 3-D just to get away from Windows (I'm not knocking any famous company). I think browsing in 3-D will be a different experience.... Ray.

Well,I disagree....and a lot of people agree with me. I saw "UP" and it was a well-made 3D
film. The director did what Alfred Hitchcock did for "Dial M For Murder": usied 3D as a window, not a gimmick.Without 3D,movies will always be "flat", and laking that final touch of
realism.

Recently,Lander's Furniture (Rancho Cucamonga,CA) had a demo of a "no-glasses" 3DTV,
by Mitsubishi. I heard it's the only one on the market. It's "autostereoscopic",based on the

lenticular (alternating lenses) principle. Other attempts have used lasers (volumetric displays)
for example,to showcase cars....but that's still way to expensive for the home screen.

The Mitsubish TV of course, has a "sweet spot" viewing area, and there's only a certain

angle in which viewers can see depth. But progress is being made,so don't write off 3D.

"UP" won major awards. It was for several reasons.
