Up for your consideration is a RARE MARX 9640 Allstate Deluxe Freight Boxed Set w/SEARS Tractor & Trailer. I believe this set is from 1958. Set is complete as far as I can tell. The MARX666 Engine runs fine and smokes like mad. Along with the 666 loco the set comeswith the following: Allstate Tender 51100 Southern Auto Carrierwith the 4 original autos 77003 B&M Blue boxcar NYC Crane Car CB&Q Flat car withcorrect Erie girder and tie downs Erie flat car with the Original Sear tractor& trailer (some sets have the trailer only) Allstate Motor Oil blue 3dome tank car SF Work caboose 034 track 1669 Transformer Lock on; uncoupler; and correct smokefluid bottle (empty)The set has been played with butis in very nice condition and always stored in the master box. The box itselfshows signs of wear but is in very presentable condition. One flap isunattached on the corners. If you like prewar sets, or MARX Trains inparticular, this is the one to have.
