This feature has a '*** 1/2' rating from Leonard Maltin in his "Classic Movie Guide" and says the film is "Sentimental but moving story serves as framework for three terrific Disney cartoon sequences featuring Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, and Brer Bear...Superb blend of live-action and animation, sincere performances." The film featured the Oscar-winning song, "Zip a Dee Doo Dah" and other fine tunes. Here's your chance to add this one to your 16mm collection at a reasonable minimum offer price.
