VINTAGE HARD PLASTIC SWEET SUE BRIDE WALKER DOLL:

Up for sale: This is a Vintage/Antique 1949-59 era hard plastic walker bride doll. Please view all of my pictures for a visual description. The doll measures approximately 17 ½” tall. I believe that this is an American Character Sweet Sue doll due to the form of the hands and fingers. The two second and third fingers are tilted inward, a trademark most American Character dolls have. The American Character guide says that these dolls were often totally unmarked. Arm tags were used, but lost over the years. But I was told at the Estate sale where I purchased this doll that she is a Madame Alexander Margaret Bride. So, being as I can’t find a marking, I don’t really know…So, if you know, please message me J. She is all hard plastic with moveable neck, arms and legs. She is a walker and moves her head back and forth when you move her legs. She has reddish colored hair that could use re-styling. Bluish-green sleep eyes that open and close nicely. All of her eyelashes appear to be present. She is wearing a off white wedding gown with a headpiece and flower bouquet. The gown is lacy and has lots of little details. It does have a rips and snags in the tulle on the front and right side. She has a pair of bloomers and matching dress shoes. The bloomers elastic is loose, so they don’t want to stay up. All of her fingers are present. The doll is in beautiful vintage condition with some normal paint wear, leg, arm, tip of nose from age and use. I don’t see any markings on the doll or the clothing. There is glue residue on her neck underneath the hair—normal with this age doll. If you have any question, please ask before offerding. Item is in Great Antique Condition with any flaws mentioned in the description. Item is EXACTLY as seen in pictures. All my items come from a smoke-free environment.
