Arthur Pew of Talbotton, GA was a railroad civil engineer. In 1885, he served as chief engineer for the construction of the Dublin and Wrightsville Railroad. Offered for sale is the abstract of a piece he published in the Transactions of the American Society of Civil Engineers touting the inexpensive and speedy construction oil the line, enabling it to get off to a debt free start that produced immediate profitability. The line later merged with the larger Wrightsville and Tennille Railroad which was absorbed by the Central of Georgia in 1971. The piece is four pages in length, tri-folded, and measures 6.5\" x 8.5\". The are two small crease separations and light age related browning; good for age. Don\'t be shy; give it a try.
