Here\'s an excellent and complete Marion \"Perfection\" half-plate camera outfit manufactured in England about 125 years ago. The Perfection was one of Marion\'s best cameras, and its build quality is extremely good. The camera comes with its original leather case, its original lens pouch, and 3 plateholders.
As you can see in the photographs, the camera is near mint condition, and it includes its original ground glass focusing plate. The mahogany body retains its original finish, and the bellows are still supple and appear to be light tight. Lens is clear and throws a crisp image against the focusing plate. Brass fittings retain their original lacquer, and the patina on all the brass parts is excellent. No fittings are missing, and no fittings are incorrect. Plate holders slide easily in and out of the the camera\'s back, and all 3 plate holders are working properly.
The leather case and lens pouch are in reasonably good shape, with normal wear and tear you\'d expect to see in utilitarian items this old. The case\'s lid is detached along the rear cloth hinge, but the case still displays well, as you can see.
