Outstanding and quite rare, ca1890\'s, Cobalt Blue decorated, Gray Salt Glazed Stoneware Schlitz Brewing Company Advertising Beer Mug manufactured by N. A. White & Son of Utica, New York (Whites Utica) in outstanding, Original condition.
This fantastic, blue decorated Gray Salt Glazed Stoneware Beer Mug / Stein measures approx. 4 1/2” tall and 3” in diameter at the base. The surface in intricately decorated with raised and incised patterned bands and cobalt blue glaze over the gray, salt glaze pottery ground. There is an image of the Schlitz World Globe Trade Mark along with text on the front of the Beer Mug that reads \"Schlitz Brewing Co. / Milwaukee\". The Mug is not marked in any way but has been identified as having been manufactured by Whites of Utica sometime between 1890 to about 1907.
This wonderful, 19th century, Cobalt Blue decorated, Gray Salt Glaze Stoneware Advertising Beer Mug is in excellent+ condition. The surface is clean and crisp with no staining or discoloration and the Mug displays beautifully. There are no cracks, chips, damage or repairs of any kind.
