18th Century 1700s Revolutionary War Era flintlock bayonet
Bayonet is in original condition with signs of corrosion and light pitting on the forged Iron Blade measuring approximately 19 1/8” inches long in total. T mortise socket measuring 2 7/8” inches long with approximate 7/8 inch barrel opening marked with a w US X below the neck with a 15 1/2” inches blade See pics for more details.

Robert M Reilly 1928/1996 location Baton Rouge Louisiana he was in listed in the Navy and was a military museum curator.
