Up for sale is a very good example of 1730-1750s Belgian Mallet Bottle made for the Dutch market.
Height: 8 inches
Diameter of base: 4.75 inches
Body: 4.25 inches
Condition: a water recovered bottle. Typical wear and matte finish you would except from a bottle recovered from the water. Appears to have come from fresh water as I see not signs of previous barnacle attachment. No chips, cracks, bruises or any other damage. The base has a very pronounced tubular Pontil mark. It is not the typical small light Pontil I have seen on other bottles of this type.
Please ask any questions you may have and be sure to check out the other bottles I have currently up for sale. I am in the process of thinning out my collection and will have some other great bottles for sale in up coming weeks.
