Götz was a portrait and architectural photographer and created numerous photographic contemporary documents of the city of Breslau, which were published in various books and magazines. He documented newly constructed buildings for the city and the municipal building authority.Götz was trained by Carl Dauthendey in Würzburg in the 1890s. In 1902 Götz became an employee of the Eduard van Delden photo studio in Breslau. In 1907 Heinrich Götz became the owner of the company. This had its headquarters in what was then Gartenstrasse, and in 1910 it moved to today\'s ul. Tadeusza Kościuszki 2. Like his predecessor Eduard van Delden, he was a member of the Freemasons and submitted his application for membership in 1907.[1] From 1903 to 1920 Götz was chairman of a Silesian photographers\' association.
