This red Charlie Chaplin hinged pencil tin is a rare find for movie memorabilia collectors. This appears to be from around 1920. The name Henry Clive is noted beside Mr Chaplin\'s picture. I believe he was the artist? On the back, the words \"Beautebox Canco\" are found.
The pencil holder is about 8 inches long by 2 inches wide. It has been used! There is a name carved into the top and the bottom of the front, the school child who used this. This item is certainly not in perfect condition, shows worn spots, dings and scratches. But still a really wonderful and again unique find.
The edge of the front cover is bent a bit so it does not close securely. Again to be expected from an item 100 years old, just trying to be as clear as possible in my descriptions. Please see photos for more details. And feel free to contact me with further information. Thank you.
