1920\'s Weymann & Sons Keystone State Mandolin-Banjo For Sale

Up for offer is a 1920\'s Weymann & Sons Keystone State Mandolin-Banjo. This is a rare bird and features a flamed walnut/maple neck and outer rim, 11 inch head ( which was very UN-common), Faux bone tuner buttons with stenciled metal top plates, beautiful ebony finger board, and open back patent pending tension design. This is a catalog number 40 and serial number 29812 which the vintage instrument blue book dates this in 1920-1921, in which they made 2 versions a 10 inch and 11inch (which this one is). The more popular and widely purchased was the 10inch, but the 11inch was less made and harder to find.This instrument is in great condition, it has a small crack on the heel of the neck which I tried to capture in the pictures, and the decal on back of head-stock is worn. One problem with older instruments especially from this time period is the neck gets warped over time. This one IS NOT!!! In fact its only got a slight up bow which is absolutely incredible for an instrument of this era(see Pictures to confirm).
