This sale is for a rare 1927 antique Tripod stand for a W.& L. E. Gurley Wye Level transit, marked on the top: W. & L.E. GURLEY - TROY, N.Y., U.S.A. - PATENT 1641592 - This oak tripod is fully functional in excellent condition and appears only very lightly used. The Patent Number references to 1927, the same year as the date code on the green Wye Level Transit Scope which is being saleed separately and seen in my other sale. This tripod has 5 foot legs, brass hardware, and it weighs approx. 11 1/2 lbs. Please zoom in on all pictures for details. (I cannot combine shipping on the two related Gurley items due to shipping restraints and packaging problems.)
