1950s Alps Japan Tin Coney Island Twirly Whirly Rocket Ride In BOX & Works! 1950s Alps Japan Tin Coney Island Twirly Whirly Rocket Ride In BOX & Works! Very scarce working battery operated space rocket ride by Alps toys of Japan. Known as the Coney Island Rocket Ride and the Twirly Whirly Rocket ride. The toy is working and the action is like the real rocket ride, turning and then changing on its axis. The light bulbs tested and the red one works but may need new bulbs. Rubber band drive in place and working, bell rings and rockets spin. Original box is complete with great rocket graphics. Toy is over 11-12 inches tall. Some normal toy wear but great rocket graphics on the toy and amusement park Coney Island box. Light tab for lights has some reinforcement. Rare toy!!
