Offered for sale is a 1950\'s/1960\'s SONICON Rocket Space Ship tin battery operated toy with original cardboard box. Created by Masudaya / Modern Toys Company and marked on the base, \'Made in Japan.\' Spaceship measures about 14 inches long (35.5cm). Excellent lithography and bright colors on this toy. Spaceship includes the original plastic windshield and tin driver, plastic antenna and rear top tail fin with a cupid type figure on both sides. Includes the three rubber wheels and battery box on the bottom. Also includes the original instruction sheet, and blue plastic whistle. The original cardboard box cover has colorful artwork on all sides.

Condition:
Guaranteed 100% original 1950\'s/1960\'s Japanese toy with the original cardboard box. Space ship is in overall excellent plus to near mint condition. Strong colors / lithography on all sides with only very minimal shelf wear / play wear. Body is still bright and glossy. The vehicle is still operational, when turned \'on\', the wheels move forward, but only one of the two tail lights is working. Whistle movement does not appear to be operational. The toy is completely original with the clear plastic windshield, tin driver, and separate grey plastic antenna. The 2-part cardboard box is fair to good condition with handling wear, creases, and some tears, mostly confined to the edges/corners, side flaps of the box. Makes for a beautiful display piece to add to your Japanese / Tin / Robot Toy collection.
