This true vintage 1950\'s era light brown felt fedora is in good original condition with NO holes, tears, repairs or odors. It features a very soft felt material with a 2 7/8\" rolled and stitched brim, 4 1/4\" peak and a 1 3/4\" brown grosgrain headband & bow.
The inside brown leather sweatband is firmly attached and shows some soiling on the front part consistent with a hat of this vintage.The creme satiny lining is intact with NO holes or tears but again some very minor soiling on the top portion. The gold \"BORSALINO\" trademark is clearly embossed on the sweatband and another label on the top portion of the satiny lining (see pics.).
This fine fedora is sized as a 7 1/4 with a 22 3/4\" inside circumference measurement.
There are a couple of small stain areas on the brim and on the underside of the brim (see pics.). These are fairly light and may come out or lighten some with a cleaning. This fedora will need a fresh blocking & cleaning as recommended for any \"pre-worn\" head wear. This service is available from any reputable dry cleaner or from many of the online hat blocking services.
The grosgrain headband does show some fade lines but not very noticeable and in no way deter from the overall great look and of this vintage hat.A classic fedora by renowned hatmaker BORSALINO that would surely make a grand addition to any haberdashers wardrobe !
