1951/1952 Buescher Aristocrat Alto Saxophone model 140 orig case Sell Trade:
$325.00

Selling my Vintage Buescher Alto Saxophone True Tone model 140. This saxophone was owned by my aunt who passed away & left it to me. It was given to her in the 4th grade. She used it through high school & graduated in 1962. She played it sporadically up until 1970. It has been in an upstairs closet ever since. I brought it to a local music store and had it checked out and dated. It was played at that time with a new reed for about 15 minutes. It produced a very beautiful, rich & mellow sound. I was told that the the valves close and there was no issue with the hinges. In excellent shape for the year, it includes the original case and all original accessories: reeds, mouthpieces, neck straps, factory manual, sheet music holder etc. The original lacquer is in great shape with only a little bit of wear which I tried to show in pics. One small ding by bell (pic #6). No repairs, it has pearl buttons. Even though it has been untouched for decades, it still works and produces a beautiful sound. Sale comes with original case, which has a few dings and scrapes on the leather ends but works and all the latches still function, the two handles are also original and work just fine, the four metal buttons on the bottom that keep the case off the ground are intact too.The Serial Number, which I have blocked the last 3 digits of (338***) indicates year of manufacture is 1951-1952. I have lots of other pics with close ups of pads and valves that I am happy to send, but I was only able to upload 12 pics. I have done absolutely nothing with this horn except have it dated, evaluated and played by a pro at a store. It is quite beautiful, but I am not a brass player, I play guitar & bass, so I have no use for it. More pics available. Shipping to the USA only. Canada please message.Would also consider trades for quality guitar or gear: Gibson PRS Fender Mesa Boogie Marshall Bogner etc.
