1954 Schwinn "Panther"-Men's Tank Bicycle
Frame Model #
This is one of four vintage bicycles that I have for sell on right now,
they were brought down from my barn attic and lightly cleaned.
1954 Scwinn Panther, Green two tone bicycleis in very good condition", the chrome needs to be polished up, but otherwise it's nearly mint for its age. I'm not sure if the pinstriping and emblems are original, but I can tell the paint is by how the Swinn Logo is embedded into several areas of the painted frame.
Everything looks to be original and in place. There are miscellaneous switches, possibly for the headlight, and other features that I cannot begin to describe. I don't know anything about vintage bicycles, but if there are any collectors/buyers who have specific questions that you would like me to check out, or take extra pictures, feel free to contact me.
Serious Buyers only please.
I encourage you to do your own due dilligence before placing the winning offer.

My reserve is very reasonable, I could not just give the bicycle away but feel it is fair for both of us.
Please have confidence that offerding is not a waste of your time.
More clarification on the shipping. I wasn't sure what to put as the shipping cost because required I list an amount. With the dimensions and possible different locations it could be shipped to, my main concern is that I do not want to be responsible for any shipping costs, but will help with getting it to the shipping store and properly packed if buyer pays for all services.
Buyer also has the option to pick up the bicycle in order to bypass any shipping costs. Thank you.

A kind and generous Watcher and Bicycle enthusiast gave me some wonderful information about this bike that is crucial to share.
This is a late 40's to mid 50's Straight Bar Schwinn which at one time was meant to be restored as a "Panther".
As I stated before, I do not know anything about vintage bicycles, and was hoping someone would come along and offer direction.
For those who have offer and wish to retract, I totally understand. I will also lower my reserve to $300.00 tomorrow(are you allowed to say that on the listing?) so all of those who may want to back out for any reason who are high buyer and may have that price locked in somewhere can withdraw or lower their high offer (sorry if I sound dumb but I have no idea how the offerding works). I'm sure there is still value, but nothing near if it were an actual Panther. I do not want to mislead anyone.
Thank You helpful Watcher....you know who you are :-)
