1957 ALPA REFLEX 6 + KILFITT-MAKRO-KILAR 4cm f/3.5 + ORIG. OUTFIT CASE +ALPA EXTENSION TUBES. NR.
- With ALPA ALNEA metal plaque & 5 pieces of contemporary ALPA literature
A LITTLE HISTORY Camera strap has Marjorie de Hartog\'s name on it. She was the third wife of the well-known Dutch writer and playwright, Jan de Hartog, author of \"The Captain,\" and also a successful screenwriter. He died in 2002.
CONDITION: ALPA Model 6 body #35687 is generally very clean, just small marks here and there, particularly around the strap lugs, but no large scratches or dings. Reflex housing shows a little polishing on edges, and there are some marks on the underside of the 45 degree reflex finder, where (conveniently) you don\'t notice them.
All speeds sound accurate, including slows and B. Mirrors/glass show a little dust, but nothing major. Secondary VF has slight haze. Numbers match. Flash not tested. Excellent ALPA body cap.
Makro Kilfit 4cm f/3.5 lens # 209-3155 is missing black band below iris ring, and while the iris can still be rotated it\'s rather stiff between f/5.6 and f/4 to f/3.5 setting. Needs attention. Glass shows a little dust and haze, but the lens is still useable, minor cleaning marks on the front element. Focus is working well.
ALPA outfit case (code: PAFOUR) includes lens case, but is missing lid storage. It has wear on inside of straps (outsides still look OK), but the main body still looks great. Inside is very nice. A very nicely crafted mid-60s case that you can imagine on a well-tailored shoulder going into the George V in Paris. No key.
ALPA tubes (code: TUBAL) are near mint and come in the bottom half of the box. ALPA Plaque is very unusual and mint. Except for the instruction book, which is a little worn, the other four brochures are in excellent original condition.
Collectiblend values the ALPA 6 with lens at $900 - $1,000 (very good) and $1,600 - $1,700 (mint)
I will ship internationally.
