This 1957 Tweed Vibrolux was built by \"Lily\" in 1957, the piece of tape with her name is still in the chassis of the amp. (See picture)
The tweed all around is 100% original and contains a couple of character building cigarette burns. (See Pictures)
The chrome top and knobs are in great shape with no tarnish or discoloration. (See Picture)
The 10\" Jensen speaker is an early replacement Jensen \"Special Design\" coded 220844. The handle is a high quality correct replacement part as well. (Both clearly pictured)
When I bought this amp the electronics were completely re-done with those tone dead orange drops capacitors. I put aLOT of time and money into hunting down the correct value Sprague Black Beauty tone capacitors and replaced the abomination Orange Drop capacitors as you can see in the pictures.
The sharp eye will noticethe replacement power transformer.
The original, functional,power transformer was rewound by Heyboer transformers in 2007 and is included with the amp. I didn\'t put it back in as I didn\'t want to risk damaging it again. (See picture)
The amp functions 100% and sounds like a typical midrange full tweed amp.The Vibrato works as well and the ampsnarls wonderfully when pushed.....This is a perfect amp for the home. All other components, to the best of my knowledge, are original to the amp.
I am a private seller, not a dealer or music store. I have tried to describe the amp as well as I can and have taken lots of high quality pictures so there are no surprises.
Shipping costs will be determined after the sale closes as I will have the amp double boxed and shipped to the winning buyer. I will not cut costs on shipping as I do not want this amp damaged. I have the handling time set to three days, however, this is not my full time job, so I ask that you please be patient with me on shipping time. I am normally very fast, but for this amp I plan to be very careful. If I have time to get it boxed in advance I will post an updated shipping cost.
I hope this amp goes to a good home and to someone who will appreciate and take care of her. I hate to let her go but I just don\'t play enough any more to justify keeping her.
