1964 Fender Princeton 6G2 - Transitional Model:
$1011.11

You are offerding on a very nice 1964 Fender Princeton amplifier. This amp is the slightly more rare \"brown face\" 6G2 circuit that came before the classic \"black face\" Princeton Reverb, even though it has a black panel. It\'s really a unique-looking amplifierwith a mix of blonde, brown and black Fender design.

Mechanically, this amp is ingreat shape. It\'s quiet and there are no scratchy pots or other noises. The tremolo is wonderful and really deep. The original cord has been replaced with a three-prong plug and the original Oxford speaker (which is included) was replaced with a Weber DT10. The Weber is probably not even broken-in. It sounds great with either speaker, but I didn\'t want to ruin the Oxford. Tubes are kind of a mix, with a newer rectifier and NOS power and pre-amp tubes. There are no issues with any of them. I don\'t have a footswitch, as I never got around to buying one. Overall, this amp is ready to play.

Cosmetically, you would call this a \"player\" instead of a collector\'s dream. The tolex, while intact aside from the usual nicks, has a few assorted stains, including some blue spray paint on the back panel. It would probably clean up with some solvents, but I\'m not a collector, so I didn\'t worry about it. The grille cloth is in pretty solid shape, with some small holes and snags. The handle is solid (I\'ve lugged this amp around with it), asis the entire cabinet. This thing hasn\'t spent the last 50 years in a closet. It has been used and it has some character.

Basically, this is a pretty cheap way to get into a desirable vintage Fender amp. You can bang it around a little bit without worrying that the value will drop if you nick it. With a little care, it will probably last another 50 years. It\'s a bit too large (meaning LOUD) for my needs and it should get more use than I can give it.

Please contact me with any questions. I will post more photos as soon as I take them or

Thanks for offerding!
