I have a Nov 1966 built AB763 Fender Dual Showman blackface amp and mating 2x15 (bassman?) cabinet (With original 15" JBL D140F-6 speakers, very desirable) for sale. Note the cab is not the "normal" 2x15 you see. This one is a tiny bit smaller, and has two port holes. Close inspection of the grill will reveal the layout. Amp has the remnants of a "Kustom/Ross Electronics" sticker on the rear. This is a legendary combo, as seen on stage with Jimi Hendrix, Jimi Page, The Who, and countless other performers/bands in the 60's and 70's.

Amp is 90% original, only some filter capacitors, tubes, and power cord appear to have ever been changed. The five large filter caps were changed with quality US made Sprague Atoms, and have date codes in the 90's. All the coupling/bypass caps look to be the original molded paper ones as installed by the factory. It works great as-is, so I have NOT shotgun replaced anything- On these vintage amps originality is a big deal. I could go through and completely rebuild the amp if someone desired, but I honestly don't think it needs it, or would necessarily be wise. All tubes are GE brand and test as new(very strong) on a military TV-7 tube tester. The three ECC83/12AX7 tubes are vintage Yugoslavian, built on the old German Telefunken machinery. Comparing one of these next to a genuine Telefunken smooth plate 12AX7, shows construction to be nearly identical, and they sound great. I believe all the tubes in this amp were replaced in perhaps the 80's or 90's, and it saw very little use thereafter.I can supply more pics of the cabinet later, it is not perfect but still solid and very usable. Somebody may have added a bunch of screws to the rear cover, there are at least 60 holes, many of which need the toothpick and a dab of wood glue trick, (only a few were re-installed inmy picturesas they were removed to look at the speakers). The amp itself is not my (picky) definition of mint, butit is invery nice shape as the pictures show. I can email higher res photos if needed.

I can meet you somewhere in the Sandwich-Plainfield area, you will need to supply a guitar and AC power if you want to try it out on the spot.

This baby cranks! If doesn't strip the link, here is a short youtube clip showing this unit (yes, THIS unit) playing Hendrix from an iPod.This combosounds VERY clean, clear, and bright- Sorry I couldn't do a better job recording I can offer no warranty on an item like this, but I guarantee it to be as described.

Call/text 815five081212 or email my ID at yah00 if you have any questions.

I also have a Wurlitzer "Side Man" vacuum tube type rhythm machine for sale. Works and in VERY good cosmetic condition, needs some very minor attention.

Note, I am trying to figure out exactly what this cabinet it. It's either some very unusual Fender cab that nobody seems to have ever seen before, or a darn good look-alike. I am very certain it was factory built by someone and not home made. I will remove an existing picture of the amp, and add one showing the inside of the cab. It appears there was a board in the center at one time, (like the Fender cabs have), but was removed. If you know what this is I would love to hear from you. Likewise, I will gladly message additional pictures to interested parties.

On Jul-24-14 at 20:29:42 PDT, seller added the following information:

Ok won't let me change pictures being there are offers. Please message me if you would like additional pictures of the cab. I do not know for certain whether it is indeed Fender, made by some other company, a modified factory cab, or home built. Please do your research and request additional pics if it concerns you. Regardless what the cab is, it has the vintage JBL speakers as noted in my original description, and sounds good to my ears.

On Jul-31-14 at 23:15:52 PDT, seller added the following information:

Attention- unless someone locally contacts me this morning with cash, I will allow the sale to finish. It sells to the high buyer! Good luck, this is a nice amp.
