Here is a rare original June 1968 SCHWINN STINGRAY 5-speed 20\" BICYCLE! (FD Serial Number) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!) This bike is in very original condition. In fact, as far as I can tell, nearly every single part of this bike is original. This bike has been in VERY long term storage and has not been owned by collectors. Be the first to get this bike back into the light and enjoy it!

*The bike is in the original and very appealing CAMPUS GREEN factory painted color. The bike has cool wide apehanger handlebars, matching Schwinn hand grips, cool rear sissy bar and so much more ! I dont know where you would find another like it! It is awesome! You can read the chainguard lettering unlike most of them. The bike is an original 5-SPEED STICK SHIFT with operable hand controlled brakes. This one even has the overload tube in place. The seat is original and not perfect but not bad either! It has the cool Stingray tag on the rear as well as the reflector mounting tab!It has the original chrome Schwinn double knurled S-2 rear rim and a chrome Schwinn S7 front rim. Both front and rear tires hold air. Both are Schwinn STINGRAY tires and I believe are original for the bike. (rear is a Stingray SLICK, it has cracks and would be good for display but not for riding)

*I bought this one in Chicago, USA a few years ago. I always intended to convert this to a 5-Speed Schwinn Pea Picker Krate bike! I never had the heart to do it so I decided to sell it. It has been inside my clean dry smoke free home! This is the PERFECT basis for a Pea Picker! It has the correct original paint frame, S2 5-speed wheel, shifter with overload tube, cool wide handlebars, grips, Mag sprocket, and everything that you see! I got it just like you see it. I hope you enjoy it!

It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out , the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.

*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is ok! The paint looks fair for a 45+ year old boys bike! I LOVE the fact that it is original but has chips scratches et. The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you offer.

Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.
