1972 Schwinn Lemon Peeler For Sale

Beautifully restored 12 years ago. It has been ridden a bit since but mostly just a show piece. If you are looking for a 100% original bike, this may not be the one. I took some minor liberties with the restoration in a couple of places that I thought looked better: painted rear chain guard stay instead of plated, chrome kickstand instead of nickel. The chain guard has a decal instead of painted logo (just never got around to having pete screen it). I was unable to find an original rear fender or springer sissy bar in nice enough shape so they are reproductions. The front fender stays are off of a reproduction but the fender itself is original and very nice. Tires are original Schwinn with excellent tread life but a fair amount of sidewall cracking. Pete seat, pete double cable clamp. To my recollection, everything else is correct and either re-plated chrome or very nice original. There is a small chip in the chrome on the kickstand. Frame finish was done by Spectrum Powder Works in Colorado- still no blemishes and super durable. All disc brake parts are in good shape and functional. All bearings were cleaned and re packed with new grease. The speedometer is very nice, works and is included. If memory serves, the driver is for a 20\" wheel so speed may not be too accurate.
