1983 Mickey’s Christmas Carol Hand Painted Cel For Sale

This is an original painting actually used in the Disney Mickey’s Christmas Carol from 1983. The characters features are Rat and Mole from Wind in the Willows.

For each tiny movement of a character in a Disney animated television show, a cel painting must be made. These cel paintings are individually photographed over master backgrounds, producing a succession of pictures which, when projected one after another, create the illusion of motion. The resultant animated film is then transferred to videotape for television and theater broadcast.
