This listing is for a fine 19th century Robinson & Leadbeater Parian porcelain figure of a nude water nymph. The figure, it quite large, and measures 15 ¾ inches or 40.5 cm high and is 8 ¼ inches or 20.9 cm at its widest.

This Parian sculpture features a beautiful young female water nymph seated on a rock. She holds her long blonde hair back as she looks over the side of the rock looking down at the stream below. The piece is all hand colored with exvellent attention to detail. It has an incised mark on the back “R&L”, this for Robinson & Leadbeater, who were parian manufacturers from 1865-1924. Robinson and Leadbeater produced parian ware of a superb quality. They only produced parian and did so for longer than any other manufacturer.

The porcelain is in excellent condition, with only one chip on the underside bottom edge, and some minor touch up to the glaze on the edge, very minor. Please see the many photographs for more on the look and condition as they are an important part of the description.
