This is an early to mid-19th century (1800s), English wheel (or banjo) barometer case.
The piece has an overall height of 38\" measuring 10 1/8\" at the widest point. It is not in working order. Lacks the hygrometer, thermometer, barometer, level indicator, and mercury tubes.
The case is quite worn with chips and cracks in the veneer as well as the case itself (see photo). The base wood is pine, with mahogany veneers. The convex butler\'s mirror is free of any cracks. Possibly restorable or hang on a wall as a conversation piece.
