This 2016-P $15 1/10 oz. Australian Gold Wedge Tailed Eagle is the first ever issue of the coin in that weight, making this piece a prime collectible for those who love numismatic firsts. The Series itself is in its third year. Mintage of this coin was limited to just 10,000 pieces, all of them struck from .9999 fine gold and bearing "P" Mint marks.

Stunning Wedge Tailed Eagle Design by John Mercanti

The obverse image is Ian Rank-Broadley's right-side portrait of British monarch Queen Elizabeth II. The image has been in use for nearly two decades. It shows the Queen with a tiara atop her curly hair. Rim inscriptions encircling the effigy include "ELIZABETH II," "AUSTRALIA," and "15 DOLLARS."

The reverse image was the work of John Mercanti, the former Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint. It features a wedge-tailed eagle perched upon a tree branch. Rim inscriptions include the coin's weight and purity, as well as its name, "AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE."

Flawless Mint State 70 with Ayers Rock Label

The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) printed this coin's grade, Mint State 70, on a label that bears an image of one of Australia's most famous landmarks, Ayers Rock, also known as Uluru. The nation's flag is also included on the right. The Mint State 70 grade is only awarded to coins that appear perfect even when viewed under magnification.

If the product has been altered, is not in its original coin capsule, or is otherwise in an unsaleable condition, the product will not be accepted for return or exchange. All documents and bonus items included with the product must also be returned. If the product is not returned with all original packaging and bonus items, is incomplete, or is returned after the 30-day return period, the Company reserves the right not to accept the return or to accept the return subject to a 20% restocking fee, in the Company's sole discretion. All returns with a purchase price over $500 must include a Return Authorization Number.
