30 MAGIC LANTERN GLASS SLIDES HANS BETHE TEACH NEGATIVES LAUE & RONTGEN SCIENCE Product Description
Here is a rare find of early scientific teaching slides from the estate of Hans Bethe who taught at Cornell University. There are 30 in total and 15 of the slides are antique glass magic lantern slides. There are three negative photographic slides ofMax V Laue, and two of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, German physicist and mechanical engineer. On 8 November 1895, produced and detected electromagnetic radiation in a wavelength range known as X-rays or Röntgen rays. Theodor Felix von Laue was a German physicist who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1914 for his discovery of the diffraction of X-rays by crystals.
These were all saved in a cigar box with the hand written equations, this came from an estate where Hans Bethe lived in Ithaca New York and taught at Cornell University.
