5 Wt Brass Raised Pillar fly Reel - MADE IN USA For Sale

I manufacture these raised pillar fly reels in my shop in central Ohio. This 5Wt. Raised Pillar reel is made from C360 Brass, Nickel Silver, stainless steel and Anodized 6061 aluminum. It is the \"click and pawl\" type reel used on early 20th century bamboo fly rods. The Brass will age to a patina that is unmatched by todays modern aluminum anodized and powder coated frames. The reel may be set up for either left hand or right hand retrieve with an adjustment to the \"click and pawl\" spring so please let me know when ordering so that I can insure the proper set up. If you are looking for a fly reel of the highest quality and reminiscent of American Fly Fishing history you will be well pleased with my craftsmanship and you will have purchased a reel that will become an instant heirloom. Please note that the reel seat hardware and reel seat shown in one of the photos is not included with the reel.

Each reel comes boxed and protected with a leather reel case. The reel weighs 5.2 ounces.
