VINTAGE CAMERA. Note the camera at lower left. It has the photographer's name and location on it, upside down: "T.C. Roche Catskills." We have flipped this in the last scan for right reading. Also note the man at right, perhaps Roche.
According to the Luminous-Lint website, Thomas C. Roche was an"American photographer who worked for E. & H. T. Anthony the photographic supply and publishing company of New York during the American Civil War. In early April 1865 he was assigned by the firm to General Montgomery Meigs who was Quartermaster for the Union Army."

CONDITION. Left side: Spots and scuff marks, some of which is more apparent when tilted. Spots, scuff marks, and some soiling, some of which is more apparent when tilted. Mount: Wear at corners and along top edge. Front has soiling. Back has missing surface layer at lower left, and soiling.
APPEARANCE. Rich tones. Very good details. Great content. A gorgeous scene.
