TITLE: Antique 17\" Kestner Bisque Head Composite Jointed Character Toddler Doll #260

DESCRIPTION: This is an antique child doll by noted German doll maker Kestner. It features a fully jointed composite body and bisque porcelain head with hand-painted features, open mouth with four teeth showing, and brown glass eyes. This is a character doll that looks like a toddler. She has dark brown eyebrows and brown hair (wig is not original). She wears a white dress with gingham trim and comes with a gingham bonnet, as well as bloomers, a chemise and a duster jacket. Marked \"JDK 260\" and \"Made in Germany 56\" on the back of her head. There is a voice box/mechanism still in the doll, and it does make a sound, but not really what you\'d call accurate anymore.
 

CONDITION: Doll is offered in very good, as-found antique condition, with minor wear and patina commensurate with age. There is some crazing and minor damage (scuffing) to composite body, including slight loss to fingertips and toes. The head appears to be intact aside from minimal scuffing, but no breaks have been noted. There has been a repair done to the body. Wig is not original, clothing has discoloration and age-related wear. Voice box mesh cover has a hole and voice box sound is warped. Mild odors from storage may be present. Please review all photos before purchasing.
