Antique 19th Century Carringtons Patent Coffee Mill / Grinder Wall Mount
You are viewing a circa 1826 James B. Carrington iron coffee mill made in Wallingford, CT. The mill measures 8" long x 8" tall ( with the crank facing down ) x 5" deep and has a 4" x 2 3/4" hopper opening.
The crank turns easily and the thumbscrew adjustment turns easily. I am not sure if the gold finish is original or an old repaint but it looks very good. The decorative oval nameplate says “Carringtons Patent Coffee Mill” surrounding an eagle.
This mill is pictured on page 117 of the MacMillan Index of Antique Coffee Mills.
