The painted part has some damage, the box is solid
3)Rare 18th or 19th century ship\'s gimbaled brass oil lamp. Most likely from a Whaling boat, hand-made, late 1700, early 1800.
The tray can move so that it remains horizontal when was used at sea. By connecting the lower part with the small round opening to a hook on a wooden part of a ship it could also be used horizontal.

The hinge of the lid consists of a copper wire. Authentic, used, 19th century or older. With signs of use but solid. A small round part was placed in the opening under the lid, for the cord, that part is missing now.
