Antique Hutschenreuther Porcelain Wagner Signed Scenic Plaque Porzellan Bild For Sale

For sale isa superb porcelain plaque made by Hutschenreuther of Germany in the 19th century . It is hand painted with a really nice and very detailed scene of a monk that went into the cellar to pick up some wine but the handle of the basket broke off and the bottles spilled with some having been broken. He saved on bottle in his left hand while looking sad down at the mess. The back of the plaque has a brown paper sticker with the term Malheur on it which is French for misfortune which kind of says it all. The painting quality is superb and it is not one you see often either especially signed by the maker and the painter which in this case is the famous Wagner which can be seen at the bottom right as shown. He is considered one of the best painters of these types of plaques and painted blanks from all over the place. Hutschenreuther and KPM Berlin being the best. It comes in a frame that looks pretty nice and is probably original to the piece but it is not perfect with some wear and tear in a few places. Still looks nice with the plaque so I\'ll leave them together. The plaque is in perfect condition. The entire piece is about 1.75 inches thick, 7.625 inches wide and 9.5 inches tall. The plaque is about 4 inches wide and 5.75 inches tall.
