I am pleased to offer from my private collection this one of a kind and important historical Imperial Russ Omega 8 days oversize pocket watch specially made for the Cabinet of Grand Duke Alexei Alexandrovich c1908.
The watch has been awarded personally by Grand Duke Alexei to the comander of Yacht "Strela" Captain Demidov.
The watch has an amazing gold plated 80mm oversize case,depicting the enamelled St.George Order and the Imperial coat of arms-the double headed eagle.
The watch is a monster size-80mm whithot the crown,110mm including the crown and bow.
Very heavy and impressive-370 grams heavy!
Once winded it works 8 days.
Fine enamel dial with original hands depicting the portraits of Tsar Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra.
The watch is engraved in Cyrillic translated as :" Mercifully awarded by the Grand Duke General-Admiral Alexei Alexandrovich to captain 1st rank Demidov,Yacht "Strela" 25th June 1908".
High grade hand engraved oversize Omega 8 days movement with a giant widing barrel and spring,precision regulator,compensating balance wheel,fully jewelled.
