DESCRIPTION
This is a beautiful brass Russian samovar which was made in the Tula. E. Vanykin factory in 1885.
SEALS
On the lid is a Hallmark that translates to:
\"In Tula M. E. Vanykin.\"
On the front is a \"St.George and Dragon\" award stamp. As well as a \"Hard work Excellence\" award stamp marked 1885.
There are also two other award stamps visible which we could not translate.

CONDITION
This samovar is 138 years old, but appears to have been well cared for.
The wooden knobs on the lid show an old repair job, but are now solid. The metal shows light scratches here and there, but nothing serious.
Overall, this is a beautiful piece with a great history for any collector.
