Up for sale is this 1930s/40s vest and shirt from the Estate of a man whose father was an actor. According to his daughter it was worn by her grandfather in a famous play or movie involving Gypsies. The material is heavy and not fragile. It has several areas that need mending and cleaning and is worthy of restoration. The black beads are glass and some are missing. The shirt closes with buttons and the vest with hook& eye and are intact. The other buttons on the sleeve and shirt collar are missing. It measures as a 44\" chest and the sleeves are 24\" from the armpit to sleeve end. Both pieces carry the BROOKS COSTUME COMPANY 1150 sixth Ave. New York, label.
