Antique Silver Herbst & Wassall Horse Stamp Holder For Sale

This is from my father's ( Robert J Bass) world class collection of bronzes sculptures ceramics and coins. His previous collections were sold at sale at Sotheby in New York.

This Antique silver Equine stamp box was made by Herbst & Wassall Silversmiths between 1904-1923. It is marked on the underside with the artist's mark featuring a winged star + sterling +1923 + H

It measures 2" x 2.75" and weighs 2.3 oz.

As any treasure which sat atop its owners desk for a century it has a few slight marks & scratches, (no cuts or dents)
