Thank you for looking at this Antique Marquee letter "Y". This letter is very very old. I do not have anyway to put an exact date on the manufacturing of this letter but can tell from the type of metal(blotchy tin) <The (white milky) glass is missing.> I will send a sample of the glass that was in it.The letter isfrom the early 1900's. The glass was approximately 3/16ths thick and was slightly textured on the back. The front of the glasswas asmooth and shiny and had little air bubbles through out it and when tilted it looks like there are tiny "veins" running through it. The measurments of the glass were 71/2" wide and 10" tall. There is a small ring at the bottom of this item which was used to remove or install it in the marquee. This letter from the edges of the frame approx. 8" across and approx. 10" in heigh. These letters are very hard to find... They are delicate to a degree and were thrown away or broken when newer technology was introduced in the sign industry. Please ask any questions... I will do my best to answer as accurately and promptly as possible. Thank you for looking.
