Bing & Grondahl “Meditation” figurine #1532, Nude Girl Sitting Copenhagen 1949 For Sale

Absolutely stunning figurine of a young girl sitting by a pool of water thinking. Called “Meditation” by the maker this work of art is in perfect condition. The pictures do not due it justice, you can literally see her muscles and bone structure through the glaze, it’s phenomenal. I have no idea how they managed to achieve this level of art with a porcelain figure.

I lived in Spain for several years and saw a lot of porcelain figures, mainly Lladro, and while they are very beautiful I never saw one that came close to this figure from Denmark.

I’m an Antique dealer, and I try hard not to fall in love with my inventory, but if you are looking for one of these you had better purchase it quickly, because I have almost talked myself out of selling. Just saying..
