Nellie was born with dwarfism, soshe had a diminutive stature.
P. T. Barnum invited her to joinhis circus, and she toured with him for nearly 10 years.
She was known as ‘the sweet girlwith the radiant golden hair’.
Nellie died from tuberculosis atthe age of 28.
