Up for sale is an Original Civil War EraUS Army Model 1862 Zouave Remington Rifle Bayonet with Leather Scabbard. This bayonet has an \"S\" marking on the guard and a \"BH\" marking on the handle. No other markings or dates. This bayonet will fit the Remington Zouave Rifle-Musket.The blade and handle are in Very Nice Condition. The blade is bright with areas of minor discoloration. The bayonet is 24 7/8\" overall length, with a 20\" blade. The muzzle ring opening is approximately 0.905\" in diameter. The leather scabbard is original to the bayonet. It has a brass throat and tip, nice patina finish on the brass. The leather supple. Some surface cracking and spot of chipping near the tip. The center seam on the rear of the scabbard has some seam separations. The scabbard has a brass throat and tip. There are no visible markings or dates on the scabbard.This is a very Nice example of this bayonet.
