Daniel Chester French 1872 Parian Porcelain \"Imposing on Good Nature\": $600.00
This is a rare early work by Daniel Chester French 1850-1931, who is an American sculptor, known forsculpting the Lincoln Memorial. This is one of his earliest works, made of Parian porcelain in England inabout 1872. It’s titled on the front “Imposing On Good Nature”, signed D.C. French, on the side, showingthe smaller dog imposing on the larger dog. The porcelain is 9 3/4” long, 5” tall and 4 1/2” deep. It hasthe end of the smaller dogs tail and right ear missing, but still in pretty good condition for the age.
