Exceptional & Early Egidio Casagrande Tall Goblet Urn Very Ornate 15\" For Sale

Exceptional and early c. 1930s-1950s hammered copper with brass wash overlay 15 inch tall vase of goblet or chalice form. It is stamped with an oval

cartouche on the underside Egidio Casagrande, Borgo Valsugana and the number 153. The hammering and decorative elements are very intricate with lots of modeling and repousse features. The large flared bowl rests on an elegant standard that rises from a wide round base. The bowl is 13 inches wide and the base diameter is about 9 inches. It is in excellent condition without damages. There is some discoloration on the interior of the bowl and around the interior of the flared rim where oxidation has occurred. Includes custom tin liner that has calcification.
