This framed print is from our personal collection. It has been hanging in our billiardsroom and is in excellent condition!

James W Denver served in the Mexican-American War under Gen. Winfield Scott. President Buchanan appointed him Commissioner of Indian affairs in 1857. Later that year he was appointed Governor of the "Bleeding" Kansas Territory.

During the Civil War he was a Brigadier General and severed under William T. Sherman.

The city of Denver, Colorado was named after James W Denver.

The envelope in this display was last sold in 1968 by the Herst sale house in New York. It was lot #923.

The envelope was written by Denver himself and was sent to his wife. The envelope is guaranteed for life to pass certification by any accredited third party authentication service such as PSA/DNA

Note: There in no letter within the envelope.

Measures 16" x 20” and has a glass front.

This hasbeen hanging in our billiards room. It is in excellent displayable condition.Thiscomes from a very clean and smoke free home.
