Interesting Small Early Olive Green Black Glass Freeblown Utility Bottle Pontil: $225.00
Here we have an interesting utility bottle that dates to sometime between the late 18th Century and the early 19th Century. This bottle was purchased out of a group of bottles that were found by a diver. The bottle has a cylinder form with a neck that gradually flares out. The base has a large tubular pontil scar left from the blowing process. The glass is quite heavy and thick giving it a black glass appearance however, the olive green coloration can be seen when backlit. This bottle stands 4 1/2\" tall and is in overall great condition without any chips, cracks, open bubbles, pot stone issues, etc. There is some staining / iridescence to the glass from being underwater for many years giving this bottle a great patina! If anyone has any questions, please ask.
