Keith Haring Postcard, Naked, photographed by Annie Leibovitz:
$14.00

This item is a postcard of a naked Keith Haring as painted in a similar style as the art he was known for. The post card measures 4.25 inches by 6 inches. It is unstamped and has never been mailed. Many people look at the front and don\'t even notice that Keith is naked and even his p*nis is painted.
Annie Lebovitz took the photo of Keith Haring that is represented on this postcard. The date on the back is 1986, making this postcard 38 years old!
Here\'s a little information about Keith Haring: He was a pop artist from New York, his art had a graffiti style to it, it tended to have a social meaning, sometimes a sexual nuance and often promoted safe sexual practices and AIDS awareness. He died in 1990 from AIDS related complications.I remember seeing his artwork everywhere, you\'ve probably seen it too but never knew it was Keith Haring art. The wikipedia entry for Keith Haring is quite interesting. He wanted his art to be accessible to everyone. He did art for charities frequently. He seemed to be very well liked and respected.
I used to skip high school and drive to this place in Atlanta called Little Five Points and go to the shops in the area. I could not afford to spend a lot of money and even the thrift stores there catered to a richer clientele even though it had a vibe of homelessness about it, evident by the homeless who would sit around there and ask for your spare change. I would usually just buy a cheap overpriced silver ring at the crystal hippy shop and then a postcard at the trendy shop that sold art that I could not afford. Postcards are art in my mind. So that is how I came about to own this postcard.
I only saw one other postcard with this image on it and the price was outrageous and the backside was different.
Maybe you are a Keith Haring fan, I think I am too after reading more about him. But I will never display this postcard and I think it should be displayed. The postcard is in good condition with no folds or creases, there may be a little yellowing, but it is very slight and again it\'s 38 years old.
Pet free/smoke free home. No returns, it\'s a postcard.
