LOT OF TWO COWBOY WILD RAGS & A CARVEDHORSE & HORSESHOE DESIGN NECKERCHIEF SLIDE
Neckerchiefs, also called bandanas, kerchiefs, wild rags, and sometimes scarves, were a genuine part of a cowboy’s outfit in the old west. They were used as a mask to protect against dust, earmuffs, sun protection, pot holder, injury sling or even a mask if you had a mind to rob a stagecoach.
I\'ve owned these neckerchiefs for more than 25 years. They\'ve been stored, folded in a plastic bag, on a closet shelf for at least 15 years.
The carved neckerchief slide features a horse, and horseshoe design. I purchased it from an Old West Antique dealer in the late 1980s. He believed it was prison made… could be. Anyhow it’s a Jim Dandy.
