CLICK TO ENLARGE IN NEW WINDOW DESCRIPTION Large 2.50 Inch Barrel Calcite in 6.50 Inch Smoky Quartz lined Geode Pair – Keokuk, Iowa areaEach half measures approximately 6.50 x 6 inches with a cavity depth up to 3 inches, total weight 12.84 pounds. A very good Keokuk, Iowa area geode pair that is lined with smoky quartz throughout, and it also contains a large 2.50 inch long prismatic barrel calcite in one half. The calcite is complete and only has an internal fracture due to shock as a result of the geode being opened. Great collector specimen! The geode pair was opened with a soil pipe cutter into two halves and the edges are not polished.
